StarCity Recording Company recently completed work on a 2-DVD set of the Rhythm Devils. The band consists of Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann; Phish member Mike Gordon; and renowned musicians Steve Kimock, Sikiru Adepoju and Jen Durkin. A true multi-media experience, disc one features the Rhythm Devils in concert during their recent multi-city US tour. The live footage is the base for extensive graphic design and video footage that combine to create a unique video vignette for each of the eight songs. Disc two includes behind-the-scenes footage of band member comments from the tour and of the band rehearsing. Jeff Glixman and partner Jim Gentile played an integral role in conceptualizing the project which included capturing the audio from the Rhythm Devils recent tour as well as overseeing the extensive video post-production. Audio post-production and the 5.1 Dolby surround sound mix were conducted at StarCity by Glixman, acclaimed producer with extensive experience in the 5.1 format.
