In the years immediately prior to the British Invasion, only one performer rivaled the chart dominance of Elvis Presley, and that was Pat Boone. With his trademark white buck shoes, perfectly combed hair and gleaming smile, Boone was the very essence of American values at a time when rock & roll was viewed as a sign of the apocalypse-Pat embraced rock & roll and added his own twist.

Charles Boone was born June 1st, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida; a descendent of American frontier hero Daniel Boone, he attended high school in Nashville, and was voted student body ...

Born in Southern California, Paul at an early age was touched by music. His parents met while touring across the U.S with the Tommy Dorsey Band in the 50's. After years of playing live , his parents settled in Los Angeles, where his dad quickly found work as a studio musician, while mom decided to focus on her family. Paul started to play piano at an early age, then drums which reflected his high energy as a teenager, then back to his first love, piano. After years of musical hiatus, Paul decided to write songs again after seeing his dad ...

Alternative/Indie / Rock

Pet Buffalo is a band whose music recalls a time when music stood for something beyond mere pleasure, when it was used by a generation as a tool in its quest to find beauty and uncover meaning, and when people believed that they could make a difference in the world. Standing for the possibility of the ideals of the 60's and 70's being alive in the here and now, their new album, Independent Variable, is an musical testament to the values of peace, tolerance, self-discovery and non-conformity being just as resonant today as they've ever been.

Hip-Hop

Pete Miser's new full-length album, Camouflage Is Relative reminds us why we used to love hip-hop, and shows us that we can again. Bicoastal and biracial this Portland, Oregon native has established a reputation for clever, intelligent songwriting, and speaker-cracking production in New York City's underground hip-hop community.

Half-Chinese and half-White, Pete identified with the counter culture qualities of hip-hop in the late eighties. His early immersion in Portland's b-boy scene prompted him to develop skills not only as an m.c., but also as a producer, dj and graffiti writer, and inspired the creation of Ho-Made Media, ...

Rock

It's not easy to compare the music of Peter Searcy's youth to what he creates today. As the lead singer of hooky hardcore band Squirrel Bait while he was in high school, Peter earned an amazing accolade: Spin magazine proclaimed Peter as "the best voice in rock and roll next to Paul Westerberg."

The aggressive energy subsided, but Peter's attentive and personal songwriting continued, coupled with a kinder, more melodic sound. Over the next few years, Peter matured into one of the most compellingly confessional singer-songwriters working today. He produced his first record with the enigmatic Tim ...
