Keith Tyrone Thompson was born in Canton, MS on December 15, 1976 to Vertastine Day, a local nurse and Theo Thompson, an original member of the nationally known gospel group The Canton Spirituals. He attended Holy Child Jesus Catholic School at the age of 5 where he participated in a number of musicals as well as other cultural activities. At the age of 12, he transferred to Nichols Middle School, where he developed a fond love for music.
